The lore behind the name<\/h3>\n

In Japanese, tama carries two meanings: \u7389, a jewel, and \u9b42, a soul.<\/p>\n

That double meaning is the whole idea. Finding a gem in music is really about finding work that has spirit: made with intent, care and a real artistic direction.<\/p>\n

TAMA brings together the depth of a catalogue, the freshness of a release calendar and the warmth of recommendations from people who listen closely. Editors curate lists; the community recommends and writes.<\/p>\n

The goal is simple: spend a few minutes here and leave with one record (or more) you wouldn’t have found elsewhere.<\/p>\n
